Frequent ATP cast member, Mike Eldred, will bring to the Whitefish Performing Arts
Center celebrated pianist Philip Fortenberry for his “On the Stage with Mike Eldred” series on
June 13. Fortenberry and Eldred performed together in the 25 th Anniversary National Tour of
Jesus Christ Superstar. Among Fortenberry’s extraordinary accomplishments is his role as the
hands of Liberace in the movie, Behind the Candelabra, starring Michael Douglas and Matt
Damon.
Eldred met ATP Artistic Director Betsi Morrison when they played Tony and Maria in
the Nashville Symphony’s Westside Story. A CD of the cast recording of the show is available
on NAXOS records. Mike has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables as “Jean Valjean” and
in The Civil War. He starred as “The Tenor” in the 2010 national concert tour of Handel’s
